Importantly, Podium's core model is built around text messaging and two-way customer communication — not primarily around review monitoring across platforms. If review tracking across Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and delivery apps is your main need, it's worth confirming exactly what coverage you'd be getting.

The contract situation

Podium uses annual contracts that auto-renew. Their terms require written cancellation notice before the renewal date or you're automatically locked in for another year. If you cancel mid-contract, you owe the full remaining balance.

There's a documented pattern of continued billing after customers have submitted cancellation requests — this appears in multiple BBB complaints, where customers report being charged for months after canceling in writing. These are third-party reports and may not reflect every customer's experience, but they're worth knowing about.

What Podium covers (and what it doesn't)

Podium focuses on Google and Facebook reviews, plus their own Podium Reviews widget. They don't natively monitor Yelp, TripAdvisor, DoorDash, or Uber Eats reviews.
